Saw Saul Leiter's retrospective yesterday in the Jewish Historical Museum. Impressive and inspiring to me for many reasons: individuals going through life in a big city, gorgeous compositions, resulting in melancholic - and sometimes alienating- photos. Right up my alley.
Below some of my favorites.
O and I love what Saul says here: 'I have nothing against a view of life that thinks it's worthwhile to pursue beauty. No need to apologize for that.'
